8b8t Overview[edit]

8b8t started around late June of 2018, claiming it held true anarchy values, an owner who doesn't abuse, and the 1.12 dupe enabled forever. Now owner, Bait originally was hosting the server for free for SevereAutism, but he soon showed to be abusive and progressively lost control of the server. In a group effort with the Vault, Faraday1056 is making archive of all kits on 8b8t.

The First day[edit]

The server was kept mostly for ServereAustism and Bait while some abusing was done to make sure that the server would appear slightly anarchic, at least for new players who joined. This abusing included building lots of TNT around spawn to create craters, making lavacasts and teleporting to the end to get shulker boxes to hand out to everyone. If you would like a taste of this abusiveness, you may find the kits named "ServereAustism's Gay Beds" (Later Renamed to the unoriginal “Autistic Bed Sheets”), "Autistic Tool Box", "PvP Kit 274.0", and “Autistic Buffet” - which are very rare kits that most likely no longer can be found on the server, after the border griefs. Here is a brief history of the server, edited and/or suggested changes by the people of 8b8t.

10 Days after[edit]

A new server was popping up. It was being advertised for its "1.12 Dupe" on many servers including 4b4t, 6a6k, 9b9t, 2b2t and many other clones. In the midst of 3 hours after being up, 8b8t was already running with 12-18 players. 14 days into the server, many people started becoming regulars. And the permanent discord was founded (all the old ones kept being deleted by ServereAustism),

The Incursions[edit]

The First Incursion began where ServereAustism was losing control of himself and abused badly on the server, causing many to quit and many bases to be griefed. Bait took control of the server very soon after this. For the next week, Lag machines created by players rebelling the abuse of the previous owner was being made, which lasted throughout to the end of August. ServereAustism has been seen on the server a couple times, but nobody seems to understand what he is doing, or “what he is preparing for.” We never really know their discord or Minecraft name, because he changes it often including their skin. Here you can track him: https://namemc.com/profile/Kory11017.1 Early September, the world border had already been discovered and the map exceeded 25 GB in size. The lack of an anti cheat at this time was obvious because of the fast travel of players, so one was added, including a nether roof / floor restriction.

The Second Incursion (this one is a non official one, some consider it to be an incursion, some not) incursion started mid-late September when many bases were griefed by Ezra and their team mates, a new but striking player on the server. The world border base was yet again griefed, and all three of the end bases that had many members including Bait, TMC3_, LepouletQuiRote, Stephen, Infinitum, Duluth, Felix, and more. The method that their team used to find the coordinates of the base was never disclosed.

The Third Incursion happened soon after, where Desert_Bunny griefed an end base that belonged to some of their friends, apparently because of a disagreement or because someone attacked him when he was teleported. New items were brought in such as the 32k sword, enchanted glass (which has been lost, the item seems to be extremely rare today, and hard to find.) and the famous pig spawners.

The Fourth Incursion happened during the great decay of Christmas, where there were an average of 1-6 people online, during late December. The new 32k pickaxe has been brought in on the fourth of January, which an enchantment of 15 fortune, 30 efficiency and 32767 unbreaking, item restriction has been turned off, and it is estimated to last for a long time throughout January, with the item restriction possibly not being removed after the incursion. Many new and old players have started to join the server since the start of this new incursion, partly because of the new pickaxes and the vacations.

The Battle Of Gallifrey This battle is often confused with the fifth incursion, but it has nothing to do with it. In fact it happened 2 months earlier during January. There were two opposing groups, the first one being Gallifrey and the second one being The Path. Everything started with the_taxi_tank joining the server, and having some contact with Faraday1056. After acquiring their first kits and spreading them around at spawn, the_taxi_tank called out Faraday1056 on being fakely suicidal. The Path didn't like this, so the_taxi_tank's base got griefed by desert_bunny and xxEzraBxxx. After this had happened, the_taxi_tank headed to spawn with their new ally pandaturtle8 and built a tiny structure which later came to be called Gallifrey Outpost. After defending the outpost for a week, it finally got destroyed by The Path, and then a pseudo-treaty was signed by either sides. - If you want to be bias I guess I can just say that path got raped every battle and the outpost was griefed offline and rebuilt numerous times.

The Fifth Incursion happened on March 2nd when an old largely hated player joined the server for the first time in 2 and a half months, named Purj. Purj was assisted with some of their friends including Jamie and some others seen earlier on in 0b0t. They had built a large lag machine which caused the server to go into mayhem while Bait was celebrating their birthday with their family. It forced him to go back to the server and deal with the issues. As the rules apply, Bait leaked the coords of said lag machine and went with other players to destroy it. There was a large battle, which also introduced the new LAG FIREWORKS into the game. Purj got away, but he remains stuck underneath the void, as a hole used to fly through the bedrock was later patched up. This battle is not to be confused with the Battle of Gallifrey.

The Academy Bloodbath happened on May 1st 2020. After increasing tensions between The Academy and The Path desert_bunny decides to attack the_taxi_tank (Academy's leader) at spawn. the_taxi_tank doesn't take long to respond, and teleports FreakingPeter to the place to fight off the increasing amount of players attacking them. A long battle takes place, where FreakingPeter and the_taxi_tank didn't die once, but The Path suffered a total of 15 deaths. At the end of the battle only desert_bunny was remaining, and was then killed by the_taxi_tank. However it was too early to celebrate victory. Faraday1056 teleported to Gravitite0414 and started griefing his base(Triangulum) after desert_bunny took Gravitite out. By that time the_taxi_tank has already arrived and had just enough time to kill Faraday1056, who was AFK. After noticing that The Path was outnumbering The Academy taxi teleported FreakingPeter to the new place of warfare. The results of the second fight were the_taxi_tank logging out, everyone running away from FreakingPeter, 1 Academy death, 12 Path deaths, Triangulum Museum griefed. At the end of the day everyone was exhausted so the fighting stopped.

8b8t's Major Battles/Events[edit]

On July 25th, 2019, Kory, under the alt c8nt was killed after a attack/inside from Faraday, Desert, Ezra, and TMC3. In a monumental moment, Faraday killed Kory. The next two hours were spent invading and destroying kory's machine and spawn, as well as making new long-time enemy Binary0, the creator of the unbreakable armor kits, log out of a fight. Later that day, it was found that TMC's Final Megabase was griefed . This was a very depressing moment, that made this day very bittersweet for Faraday and all of the server as nearly a year old active base was destroyed. However, a new plan began to form in the Golden Millenium megabase, of which the first block was placed by Bait around 7 PM EDT (Griefed 2020).

A Small battle began on 9/1/2019 when [[iiiAK470iii aka SCP-682-j, or the_taxi_tank wanted to start drama with TMC3_ to “revive” the server, despite there already being 7-10 players online that night at once. But that couldn't happen, because TMC3 was not having it. After searching for targets such as Faraday1056, Waterbub, and more, Bait became his next target. AK470 teleported to Waterbub and then attacked bub and the true battle began. Hearing that one of his fellow friends was being attacked, Bait came into the fight to help. Their fight destroyed the landscape and sent them both plummeting to the bottom of the ocean, as they went through hundreds of totems. AK plunged his anime sword into Bait's chest, leaving his dead, however AK had run out of breath, after being underwater for so long, so he died shortly after as well.

Base Infinitum was a mega base started by Infinitum in late July, and worked on by Infinitum, TheBlockyWarrior, And Deathpath13. It started out small, with a single building with a giant "I" on top, and grew in size. During October of 2019, Bait, the owner of 8b8t, held a contest for bases and in the end Infnitum's base was declared the winner. The base basically was forgot about and it's members did not do much to it afterwards, until around February, when Infinitum decided to continue his projects. Infinitum built a 100x100 obsidian pyramid, to which then a quartz pyramid was added, then a diamond one, an emerald one and finally a gold one. Before this time, the only people to know about the base were blocky and deathpath, but Infinitum began to make a friendship with taxi, who is still a close 8b friend of Infinitum, and he was the first person ever besides the 2 builders that got shown the base. Infinitum shortly after decided to show Bait too, knowing he nor taxi would never grief. After finishing with the pyramids, Infinitum took a map of the pyramids, which is now lost to time. After finishing with the pyramids, Infinitum wanted to add a museum, which had some items gifted to them by the_taxi_tank, banners of infamous groups, regular use items, between others. Two weeks after Infnitum showed Faraday1056 the base, it was griefed by desert_bunny, Reminism, And TheRealDunk. There is beef between players to this day. TheRealDunk says that he had no intention to grief the museum but after he saw the museum did not feature his first ever kit he decided to blow it up. It is speculated that the griefers found the base through a nether portal Infinitum had placed recently. The base was about 10 months old and was griefed on the night of may 3rd. Corona Revival[edit]

After recent worldwide events causing the world to shut down due to a pandemic, 8b8t was seeing a massive revival. With up to 20 players online at peak hours on certain days, 8b8t was getting popular again. A flock of Spanish players began to explore the server as a Spanish YouTuber made a video about clones, yet were mostly halted by threats and book bans by the older players, against the word of Bait. A new bread item named “Banana Bread” with the lore of “Actually French Toast” was spawned to fuzzbanks, and is currently the rarest hacked item on the server. The Banana Bread was then traded with Discusser for 12 parrots, who has promised to never dupe it, and to not distribute it to anyone, making it one of the most rare spawned in items on the server.

At 11/04/2020 some drama went down. Apparently the_taxi_tank had backdoored the server, however the amount of damage is unknown. During the event thousands of items were spawned in, but Bait intervened quickly and removed the_taxi_tank´s stashes. It is speculated that there is another third stash existing somewhere on the server, but nor Taxi or Bait want to speak about the topic. Some items that remain after the event are the "taxi's backdoor" stick and the "melom" melon block, the last one being in possession of Infnitum and Gravitite0414

The Psuedo Backdoor[edit]

08/06/2020

This day a powerful group (Team Infinite) made itself public. After about a month of planning from Infinitum and the team, and putting everything together, they were ready. The day had come. Infinitum made 8 Kits, for Poke_mon. After making the world download, poke went in, saved the kits with c+1 and then as soon as possible. Bait granted Poke_Mon creative, poke would press x+1, but for some reason he did not get the 8th kit, and in total 7 kits were spawned in. Some of those kits held these items:

  - Shulker box full of shulker boxes
  - Chainmail armor with level 15 enchantments
  - Diamond Armor with 32k enchantments
  - Unbreakable Shield
  - Sharpness 32767 Diamond Hoe
  - Various playerheads
  - Various enchanted blocks
  - Power 32767 Bow
  - Sharpness 12345 shears
  - Luck of the sea 32727 fishing rod
  - Negative durability pickaxe
  - Silverfish blocks
  - All spawn eggs
  - Several other lored items

The same day, the_taxi_tank wanted to store the items in a safe place, but a pair of players spotted them at spawn wearing the 32k chestplate. Taxi was on their alt, MonchMonch and was able to cover up the incident together with Team Infinite for the most part, but a screenshot managed to get through. It was played off though with taxi and infinitum and it was forgot about soon later.

The next day, seeing how Bait was unresponsive a decision was made. After acquiring the items, part of Team infinite Poke_Mon, sjnez, Iosh1 (aka Vitaly1), Gravitite0414 and Infnitum headed to spawn, started killing people and spawned thousands of ghasts, which lead to the server crashing. At this point Bait realized what was going on and quickly started patching the illegal items.

Post-Psuedo-Backdoor[edit]

After the Pseudo-Backdoor, kits were made all around spawn, and now players, old and new, can find a kit and become overpowered, If you have one, you can mine faster than ever and kill easily. In The Nether Hub, however, All kinds of kits can be found, such as Wither kits, 32k Kits, Stacked totem kits, and more!

The End[edit]

During 8b8t's final months, Bait sold the server to _G00S3. Bait did not want to be owner anymore but was still somewhat associated with 8b8t. _G00S3 was at first an okay owner, but he reset the nether and end, causing major controversy. _G00S3 played on the server frequently. In 8b8t's final days, a temp map on 1.12.2 was set up. The main map was restored a few days after. In late July of 2021, _G00S3 was exposed as a pedophile, mainly by Desert_Bunny, the_taxi_tank, and Hiccup. Hiccup and the_taxi_tank have exposed _G00S3 for manipulation, sharing suicidal thoughts with minors, sexting and grooming. Screenshots were taken between _G00S3 and a 14 year old. It is heavily implied that _G00S3 knew was dating a person who was underage but did it anyway. At this point, _G00S3 was a very erratic owner. On 7/28/2021, deep in extreme controversy, _G00S3 shut down the server permanently. _G00S3 proclaimed he was shutting down the server in chat and asked for last words. Many people were shouting to not close the server, but _G00S3 closed it down for good. The discord server was archived at that point, but deleted as well a day later. Complaints on the 8b8t subreddit started to spring up, about the discord disappearing. Several people who were online as the server entered its final minutes recorded it. These can be found on YouTube. On 7/29, Bait archived the subreddit. 8b8t was thought to be closed forever.

The "Revival"[edit]

Several days later 8b8t came back up. Surprisingly, it has 10-30 players online. Some regulars have returned. However, the server was up to no good. _G00S3 declared the server a "semi-anarchy" server. He banned several people off of the server, most notoriously Hiccup, the_taxi_tank, Desert_Bunny and TheTroll2001. The IP addresses of all of those players have been leaked publically in chat (TheTroll2001 had his IP leaked for no reason). Shortly after the server was shut down permanently.

Closure[edit]

The server ceased operations on June 27th 2021. _G00S3 transferred it to TheHolyShit who later turned out to be TudbuT. There are no plans to revive the server or bring it back in any shape or form. The domain is used personally by TudbuT.
